Belle Reve Care Center

Belle Reve Care Center provides an Alzheimer's Disease/Dementia Management Program unique in the Northeast Pennsylvania area. The program is licensed as a Personal Care Unit by the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare. Limited to 19 residents, the program offers individualized programming for persons with Alzheimer's disease and other dementia-related illnesses. A dedicated and specially trained staff provides 24-hour care, with a nurse manager, attending physician, psychologist and geriatric psychiatrist available as needed. Our residents reside in a dedicated, secured area, offering safeguards against elopement.

Belle Reve provides our residents with a comforting, safe environment, allowing them to live together and participate in a regular schedule of group activities including games, arts and crafts, special events and recreational therapy. This approach is combined with daily set routines and meal times, affording a sense of stability. Pleasing music and old-time movies evoke pleasant memories of days gone by. Visiting hours for family and friends are unrestricted, and phone calls to our Social Services Director and staff regarding any special needs, issues or concerns are encouraged.

Belle Reve offers private and semi-private accommodations, including fully furnished, Mission-style accommodations, wall-to-wall carpeting, and beautifully decorated rooms. Three nutritious meals are provided daily, with regular and special diets available. Snacks, beverages and hydration programs are part of our daily service. Weekly housekeeping is provided, with bath and bed linens provided and laundered weekly. Enhanced care can also be provided to residents with special requirements, such as one-on-one companionship, coaching, personal hygiene, or incontinence issues.

Short Term Stays offer a family the opportunity to introduce their loved one to our Alzheimer's Program. This can be ideal if the caregiver needs time off, is going on vacation, or has other pressing personal, family or work obligations.
